As a photographer, there are dream venues that you have on your bucket list and Foxfire Mountain House was on the top of mine! Tucked away in the Catskills in New York, you wouldn’t even guess that this place was there. Although there’s the space to comfortable fit 140 guests (including availability for 30 to stay on site), this intimate elopement with just Matt and MC was so special and really just allowed us to soak up this beautiful venue. With absolutely no shortage of photographable locations that just make you swoon, the details that they included in their special day really just highlighted such an amazing space.
MC and Matt were actually guests at a wedding I had the pleasure of photographing back in the spring of 2022! Getting to catch up with couples that have already been around me while I do my thing on a wedding day makes my heart so happy and I love seeing them again.
MC wore a STUNNING gown by Nordeen Bridal which truly just flowed with the space. This was my first introduction to Nordeen and honestly, if you want a dress that feels organic and flows with any venue and environment while still feeling classic, they’re your brand.
We kept the day relaxed, with the two of them getting ready together and just feeling all the love. After sharing their vows with each other in the garden, we enjoyed a fun champagne tower moment (a trend I adore and hope never goes away again) to celebrate before wandering the property for some portraits.
I’m realizing more and more on my photo journey that while I’ll never stop photographing larger weddings, smaller intimate micro-weddings and elopements truly have my heart. I love spending intentional and meaningful time with my couples as they move onto this new journey so if you’re eloping or planning something a little more intimate, hit your girl up!
